Immerse yourself in learning this summer!

D-E 360˚ Summer Connections offers Deep Dive Immersives, experiential learning sessions that generally range from one week to two weeks in length. Students’ immersion in the topic of study is long enough to provide a depth of knowledge and skills building in the targeted areas.  Our expert faculty and coaches will inspire students to “dive in”, take on their subject area or sport more intensively, and have a great time.

Soccer Academy provides players with intense training and game-like experiences that will enhance the athlete’s overall style of play. The athlete’s foot speed and skills will blossom, while their knowledge for the game will flourish. Great for beginners, or advance levels of play!

The Bulldog Basketball Camp is geared toward those student athletes – boys and girls – who want to take their game to the next level. Athletes will gain exposure to “Bulldog Basketball” and what makes the D-E basketball program consistentlyone of the most successful small school teams in North Jersey.

Calling All Entrepreneurs! This week-long academy is designed for the business minded as well as the social entrepreneur. The academy covers full introductory courses in business planning, marketing & financing, and business management. Students will explore the “How To’s” of starting their own business from understanding the basic fundamentals of business to following and creating a business plan.

Our body’s resources all have limits. Our energy, our attention, our willpower, our memory, and even our good mood are all finite, so in order to keep working for us, they need to be recharged regularly. In this course, students will learn about mindfulness, meditation, and a range of complementary movement and wellness practices to help individuals regulate their emotions, focus attention, relieve stress, and more.

NEW! Broadway Dreams

The Broadway Dreams Foundation (BDF) is bringing their premiere performing arts intensive to D-E 360° Summer Connections, this summer! Throughout the weeklong program, students will work with top Broadway professionals in intimate master class settings.

Featured Teaching Artist Quentin Earl Darrington is one of the BDF core faculty member this summer. He began his Broadway career in Ragtime as Coalhouse Walker Jr. and is now preparing to star as Old Deuteronomy in the 2016 revival of CATS. Affectionately known as “Q” he has taught at almost every BDF city and is a fan favorite of the students for his approachability and teaching style. Q will be working with CATS on Broadway at night and teaching at D-E 360° Summer Connections during the day.

Tyler Hanes is another one of the BDF core faculty members this Summer 2016, and a well-known actor and dancer on Broadway. He’s appeared in a handful of Broadway roles, including in Sweet Charity, A Chorus Line, and On The Town. Hanes is now preparing to star as Rum Tum Tugger in the 2016 revival of CATS. Similar to “Q”, Tyler will be working CATS on Broadway in the evenings and spending the day with D -E 360° Summer Connections.

Ryann Redmond has grown up with BDF. She first connected with the organization as a student in Atlanta in 2006 and has stayed with the organization for the last 10 years as a student, intern, assistant, and now a core teaching artist. Ryann has found huge professional success on Broadway, having originated roles in both Bring It On: The Musical and If/Then.

Christopher Hanke is a popular actor both on stage and screen. He’s appeared on Broadway in numerous productions, including How to Succeed in Business without Really Trying, Cry-Baby, In My Life, and RENT. He’s well known for his recurring roles on TV in Devious Maids, Big Love, and Three Rivers. He’s also found success as a red carpet host for the Tony Awards!

Our D-E 360° Summer Connections Broadway Dreams students will have the opportunity to explore an array of topics within the categories of acting, singing, dance, audition technique, business of theatre, stage management, technical theatre, and costume design. The program will culminate with a professionally directed and produced showcase of student and faculty talent!

Learn, Create and Perform! Join String Society 2016 for a fun-filled week of musical magic! String Society offers students the opportunity to explore gems of the string orchestra repertoire while being introduced to music by living composers. An exciting feature this year, we will welcome violinist Ayano Ninomiya, violin professor of the New England Conservatory, who will work with the students in their chamber music groups. In addition to the orchestra and chamber experiences, students will also take part in sectionals, an improvisational workshop, and mindfulness activities such as yoga. The program culminates with the Grand Finale Concert on Friday, August 12.
