A Day in The Life of a Summer Connections Camper
|
Adventures Week 1 HighlightsAdventures campers had a great week learning about our week’s “Habitats of the World” topic, “The Secret Lives of Bees”. Each day campers learned about the world of bees through research, art, literature, and song. Our trip to Greenwood Garden allowed us to view real beekeepers at work. Discoveries Week 1 HighlightsWelcome to Discoveries! On our first day of camp, the Red, Yellow and Blue Group all came together as a family during our morning meeting. Morning meeting is an engaging way to start each day, build a strong sense of community, and set children up for success socially and academically. The campers and teachers each greeted each other and shared information about our topic for the week, “The Secret Lives of Bees”. Junior Campers Week 1 HighlightsThe Junior Campers had fun meeting new friends this first week of camp! We enjoyed eating lunch like the “big kids” in the cafeteria, did a little moving & grooving and some yoga. On Wednesday we had water play. They LOVED playing in the sprinklers and the slip–and-slide. We even learned a little Spanish with Senora Harrison!
