Adventures: Spanish/Drama/Cooking

by Ms. Sandra Buritica:

¡Hola Amigos!

  • During the week of July 11, our Adventures campers will enjoy learning about birthday celebrations, all in Spanish — including learning how to say their birthday (date), how old they are, and various vocabulary words related to birthdays, including counting up to the number 30 — and singing “Feliz Cumpleanos” (Happy Birthday).  Our campers will also create their very own “velitas” (candles) to take home and learn how to say “soplar unas velitas” (when they blow out their candles)!
  • As part of our Summer 2016 theme, children will also learn words in Spanish that relate to the Olympic games, including “nadar” (to swim), “remar una canoa” (to row a canoe), and “tiro al arco” (archery).
  • Finally, we’ll head to the kitchen, where our Adventures campers chefs will create Jelly Boats, made out of lemons and jello!

Welcome to D-E 360!
