Summer Musical Production of Seussical, Jr.

Our Immersives provide experiential learning with students having close collaboration with master level faculty as well as peers who are equally passionate about the topic. Immersives generally range from one week to two weeks in length. The students’ immersion in the topic of study over the course of a day is long enough to provide a depth of knowledge and skills building in the targeted areas. We have some exciting offerings this year that range the gamut across three major themes: Art and Design; Theater, Movement and Music; and STEM Leadership & Environmental Conservation.  Look at the description that follows for more information about Seussical, Jr. Immersive programs include opportunities for health and wellness activities where students participate in team-building games and get a sampling of athletics offerings in tennis, fencing, archery, yoga and golf.

We’re excited about our return to LIVE theater. This summer students will audition, rehearse and perform the Broadway musical Seussical, Jr. We also have a specific track for students interested in tech theater.

This Summer Connections production of Seussical, Jr. provides participants with a firsthand experience of putting on a musical theater performance. This Musical Theater Immersive is ideal for aspiring actors, singers, and dancers as well as students interested in technical theater. Cast members ages 10-14 will work with experienced musical theater educators and receive coaching in dancing, acting, and singing. And for those interested in technical theater, lighting, scenery and sound, we have a special opportunity to learn as well from an award winning tech theater director.

Students who wish to perform will audition and be cast in this fun, high energy and beloved musical. Complete with costumes, lights and sounds, this is one theatrical experience budding theater enthusiasts won’t want to miss. Join us in for the two-week immersive musical theatre experience. All students auditioning will be cast. The audition videos will help us cast individual roles in advance so that students could begin working on their parts before the first day of rehearsal. Items to be sent include:
