This week the campers in the Exploratorium investigated the properties of clay and gems by making “glitter stress balls.”  They also made scientific journals and designed vehicles. Some campers created structures that used simple machines like pulleys.  Other campers chased butterflies and inspected worms, while other campers created working circuits with batteries and wires. In the Exploratorium the campers choose from a wide selection of hands-on activities and experiments. They use the available materials and equipment to explore the world of science around them.
