Discoveries and Adventures enjoyed traveling to Asia as part of their fabulous study of the continents of the world.
Discoveries’ amazing journey through Asia included trying new foods, learning the flags, discovering the animals, experiencing the culture, and so much more. They ended the study of Asia by learning how to make origami crafts, which is the art of paper folding often associated with Japanese culture. The Discoveries campers had a great time visiting Asia, the largest continent on Earth.
Adventures trekked through Asia this week, exploring the cultural traditions, food, and economies of the various countries that call the continent home. This exploration was enhanced on Wednesday when our campers took a trip to the Rubin Museum of Art in New York City, where they learned about Himalayan culture with a tour of the museum and a workshop on making their own mandalas!
