NYChessKids is one of the largest youth chess programs in the tri-state region. their mission is to spread the love of the game as well as develop a child’s mind with advanced logistical gaming skills. come explore the foundations of chess strategy. Chess is a fun way to improve skill in planning, critical thinking, pattern recognition, and general learning aptitude. This class offers many opportunities for collaboration, encourages sportsmanship, confidence, and goal setting, in a supportive learning environment.

Come use your imagination to build, design and animate objects. In this class, children learn to build and program birds that turn and sing, an alligator that opens and closes its mouth, a drumming monkey and more.

Science Fun: Mad Scientist

Club Latino: Fiesta Cultural

Discover the culture of Latin America with Senora Harrison! During this session, students will learn about Latin American culture through language, food, music, dance, storytelling, drama and many fun activities. The program will serve as an extension of our current DE Spanish Curriculum.

Budding Artists’ Studio

In this course students will explore a wide range of artistic mediums, techniques, and subject matter. The course will emphasize drawing and painting from observation, while enabling students to delve into the creative process and develop original ideas. Color theory, composition, and techniques for layering different materials will also be explored. In conjunction with projects, students will learn about inspiring and influential artists, and share their responses to what they see in the works presented. Student achievements will be celebrated at a final art exhibition and reception for friends and family immediately following the last class session.
