AfterCare & Enrichment Overview

AfterCare & Enrichment (ACE) is the D-E360° program provided for students in the Lower School (preschool through grade 5). We pride ourselves in offering a wide variety of unique, fun, and educational offerings, including our ever-popular daily Homework Help and weekly Study Buddies. Our goal is to provide a safe environment for students to grow and express themselves. At ACE, we believe children should have the opportunity to take part in a program that is dedicated to investing in their growth in a fun and exciting way!

Our program is focused around giving students interactive recreational time, supervised space to interact and stay connected.  With activities like Homework Help, arts and crafts, yoga, games, and study buddies, children may join us after school to reinforce learning or explore something new.

Enrichment Specialty Classes

For the 2020-2021 school year, Enrichment specialty classes are virtual. We anticipate being in person in the fall.

Enrichment Specialty Classes are fun ways for students to learn and play with their friends after school.  Our faculty are dedicated educators who are passionate about sharing their expertise with your children to help them to try something new, pursue their interests, and develop their talents further.

All courses have a minimum and maximum enrollment.  Courses are enrolled on a first-come, first-served basis.  Enroll early so that your child gets his/her first choice.  If a course is at capacity, the class will be closed and you will not be able to enroll your child for that course.  If minimum enrollment is not met, the class will be closed and you will be refunded.

How does my child get to class?

Enrichment fees cover costs from the time of dismissal to the end of class, including supervision, snack, playtime and course materials. Children will be escorted by their classroom teacher to the Lower School Multipurpose room.

Pick Up

Parents pick up their children in the Lower School Multipurpose room.  Students are signed out through our electronic sign-out system and are assigned a pin number to access the system.  Students are not allowed to leave unless with a parent or an authorized caregiver.  Children are not dismissed without parental consent.

Payments and Refunds

All payments are due at the time of registration and will be billed through the Dwight-Englewood Business office.. A fee will be charged if a student drops an Enrichment Specialty Class on or after the first week of the term per class.  After that, there are no refunds.  Fees for classes added after the beginning of the Term will be prorated.

Registration and Fees

Registration for Enrichment courses is available by seasonal term (fall, winter, and spring) and will close on the first day of class. Go to  to register online. AfterCare is $60 per day for pre-registered students; drop-in arrangements are $75 per day.  Snacks and materials are included in the cost. Note that Enrichment Specialty Classes are by Term and have different costs based on the offering.  If parents would like for their children to stay for AfterCare after each class, there will be no additional charge.
